We’ve found another Sunday flea market in Prenzlauer Berg, although this one is many many times the size of our usual Friedrichshain version. As we’ve realized many times over, when the sun comes out in this city the population seems to grow ten-fold. Much like my Seattle home, people take advantage of nice weather in a way we Angelinos seem to be incapable of doing. Berliners flock to parks, outdoor cafés—and apparently flea markets—in droves. The morning bike ride to the studio makes me feel like I’m in some kind of cyclist army.

This is in honor of my friend (and Art Center’s own) Stefan Bucher, although as we discussed, there seems to be an umlaut sub-plot.

This is just a cat, because I thought he was pretty cool.
