Early in March when I was setting up the Berlin studio I saw a bike with mirrored wheels leaning at a tree on Torstrasse. Little did I know that it belonged to a series of urban interventions by Olafur Eliasson, pointing at his first solo exhibition in Berlin called Inner City Out.
The show in the Martin Gropius Bau is equally amazing, I raced through it on a very crowded day (Vatertag) and just had to do some spy shots. Above is the center courtyard with a mirrored inverted pyramid installation.
The show’s grand finale is a sequence of fog-filled rooms that are transformed into immersive color spaces.
Bathing in pure color never felt this good before…
