This weekend was my first venture to Friedrichshain, which is a wonderful little enclave of Berlin comparable to Silverlake or maybe Echo Park. Every Sunday they have a flea market (kind of like a smaller version of the one at the Rosebowl in terms of wares) and I got myself a 50EURO bicycle.
Noelle and I also went to “Cupcake” (appropriately named, don’t you think?)
Cool old Friedrichshain buildings and the tram.
U-bahn under construction
A big theme of our trip so far has been finding housing for everyone. Luckily the goal has been recently accomplished, and to prove it here is the ground-view from Alice, Jenn and my new digs in Kreuzberg.
The guy we’re subletting from is a musician away recording for a few months. We have two balconies and one plant. Ben called it his wine plant, and said to water it every few days (although if we forget to, “it’s no big deal”)
